We understand that at this time many people rely on their vehicle for transportation to and from work, rest assured that we will be here for you and all of your essential vehicle needs.

All departments (Sales, Service and Parts) will remain open at this time. This does not, however, mean business as usual and we will be operating under very strict guidelines. We want to ensure the needs of our community are met, all while continuing to offer a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.

Service Customers:

During this crucial time, it’s more important than ever to keep your vehicle running at its best so you can get to where you need to be. Call us today at 705-523-5235 to arrange an appointment with our Certified Service experts, or schedule an appointment online.

Avoid personal contact by using our ‘Night Drop Off’ box located on the Service side entrance. Just park your vehicle on the lot, complete a night drop envelope, place your keys inside the envelope and drop it in the box. We will gladly email you a copy of your invoice and take credit card payment over the phone. After our factory trained technicians have completed the work on your vehicle, a staff member will sanitize all of its primary touch points. This includes the steering wheel, gear shifter and door handles.

Sales Customers:

Currently our showroom is open by appointment only and we’d like to remind everyone that our website is an excellent resource when searching for a new or used vehicle. Browse our inventory, get an approximate trade-in value and apply for financing, all in the comfort of your home. In addition, our sales staff will be more than happy to offer you a virtual test drive. Contact us and we’ll create and send you a personalized video demonstrating the vehicle of your choice!

WHAT IS GM DOING?

As you know, there is a global shortage of ventilators. We are proud to report that GM, at its own cost, is sharing its automotive expertise and applying its global supply chain that stretches from Canada to Asia to help healthcare companies quickly expand their manufacturing and output of these much-needed devices. Hundreds of General Motors experts are working around the clock to support companies like Ventec Life Systems in the United States. GM is also providing advice at no cost to a consortium of suppliers helping Canadian ventilator companies scale up production here as well. In addition, GM is gearing up to make millions of surgical masks for front-line health care workers at no cost, as well as face shields and other personal protective equipment.

In addition to mobilizing Canadian suppliers on global efforts, here in Canada, GM has taken a leadership role collecting and donating critical personal protective equipment from our many partners to help the Public Health Agency of Canada meet the needs of our Canadian healthcare workers.

GM got involved because they wanted to help, not to profit and not because anyone compelled them to. Here is what some experts are saying about the effort:

  • In this video from NBC News Ventec’s CEO discussed exactly what’s happening in this unprecedented effort in the United States.
  • An in-depth New York Times study found that GM and Ventec “have moved urgently to find parts, place orders and deploy workers. Tasks that normally would take weeks or months have been completed in days.” An industry expert added, “I’m pretty amazed at what they’ve done.”
  • An inside look by Bloomberg News reported that “newly revealed details show that GM has been continuously engaged in the effort — order or no order.” In the article, a leading industrial expert concluded, “This is truly a major step at a critical moment.”
