New 2021 Chevrolet Silverado for Sale in Sudbury, ON

It doesn’t matter what you want or expect from your new full-size light-duty pickup truck, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has got you covered. Whether you’re looking for a powerful work truck, a luxurious office on wheels, or a family vehicle for all sorts of exciting outdoor adventures, you can rest assured the Silverado can be configured exactly the way you need it to be.

The new model year brings new colors, new wheels designs and extensive enhancements to how the 2021 Silverado 1500 can be configured, so here are some highlights of what you can expect from this latest version of one of Canada’s favourite trucks.

So Many Great Choices

You only have to glance at the eight different trim levels available in the 2021 lineup to appreciate how versatile and different the Silverado can be depending on how you specify it, but trim levels are just the beginning when it comes to configuring your perfect pickup. The trim levels start with the aptly named WT (Work Truck), and then the lineup goes to the Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ and top-of-the-range High Country.

As well as eight different trim levels to choose between you also have three cabs, three bed sizes, six different engines and loads of different colors, interiors, options and packages available to get the Silverado that’s right for your needs..

Six of the Best

The first engine in the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup is a 4.3-litre V-6 producing a very capable 285 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft. of torque, which goes to your choice of the rear or all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.

A 2.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit under the hood of a full-size truck might raise a few eyebrows at first, but there’s no need to be concerned about a lack of cylinders when you find out the second engine in the Silverado 1500 family puts out an impressive 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque and comes mated to an excellent eight-speed automatic transmission. On top of being a highly capable engine for towing and hauling, this relatively recent addition to the Silverado engine lineup can deliver some impressive fuel economy.

Even light-duty trucks need to have a diesel engine option these days, and the Chevy obliges with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel that offers 277 horsepower and a pretty mighty 460 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine also comes mated to an excellent 10-speed automatic transmission that makes the diesel suitable for a wide range of different applications.

Of course, many buyers will immediately gravitate towards a V-8 and the Silverado’s 5.3-litre gas V-8 comes in two different versions with 6-, 8- and 10-speed automatic transmission options. The V-8s also feature cylinder deactivation technology for improved efficiency and lower emissions.
If you want the most powerful unit you can have with the 2021 Silverado 1500 you can’t fail to be impressed by the mighty 6.2-litre V-8 that puts out a seriously capable 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque and comes mated to that superb 10-speed automatic transmission

Effortless power and efficiency

The majority of buyers might not need the maximum capability the Silverado has to offer, but it’s still good to know what it’s capable of all the same. Towing is the main reason trucks like the Silverado are so popular here in North America and the 2021 Silverado 1500 can tow up to a class-leading 13,400 pounds with the 6.2-litre V-8 and four-wheel-drive, while diesel engine models can tow up to 9,300 pounds.

This Chevy is no lightweight when it comes to payload either as the maximum it can haul is an extremely useful 2,250 pounds.

You may be surprised to learn that there isn’t a massive difference in fuel economy between the six different powertrains, although the diesel with that 10-speed automatic and rear-drive is perhaps the exception with an 8.7 L/100km combined rating. The 2.7-litre turbo-four is the next best unit for fuel economy with its combined rating of 11.2 L/100km, but the V-8s and the 4.3-litre V-6 are all rated pretty close to the 13.8 L/100 km combined mark.
